I had so much fun actually roleplaying back when servers didn't have 4 gb of custom useless bullshit with 80+ jobs that are useless.
I would go for mayor and bribe everybody with little amounts of money so they'd vote for me and help me fuck with the mob/gangsters.
I'd pay a guy/cop to get an RT camera and he'd film cop raids that I would watch live from my office while signing warrants to bust down doors like candies. I would call all the cops to my office first, make a speech, give them broad commands about what we know and what they should do and then send them to the raid location.
It was fucking great. That and just having a gunshop and selling to people.

I miss when Gmod wasn't shitty mini games and RP faggotry and instead was a bunch of great mods on top of gmod that let you do all kinds of shit.
Wiremod was the most fun fucking thing in Gmod.
Making machines that could automatically drive around and fight.
Making a laser-powered fucking spaceship.
Using a field generator on the map with all the planets to eliminate gravity from the whole map, then field generators on each planet to bring gravity back, just so you can have proper space battles in space ships that actually had breathing mechanics and vacuum was a thing and you died in space.

One thing we always did was play in a huge water world map.
We'd build ships where everything in the ship was welded to one thing and one thing only: an explosive barrel.
We'd put guns on them and the aim was to be last boat standing.
God DAMN that shit was immensely more fun than any game of TTT has ever been.
None of that shit even comes close.
We'd also do other stupid shit, like making nuclear bunkers.
Then we'd get some nukes, we'd stop them mid-fall, fire another nuke.
We'd do that until we caught X nukes, weld them together, make a rocket container then welded the nukes to the insides of the rocket.
Moved it somewhere, let rip, see if our bases could survive the nuclear shitfest.
