Not that Adol's original outfit was perfect, and admittedly it's sort of a product of its time, but I'm always getting the feeling that Adol's clothes are going in the direction of overdesigned garbage. Heck, here if we got rid of some of the greebly shit and made the color scheme/pattern not look like something made by a 90s Postmodernist clothes designer's catwalk fever dream then we'd have a mostly workable design and silhouette. Boots, jeans bracers and fancy jacket.
Still, where's the armor and where's the red? Adol was pretty iconic even in his blandness. He looked ready for adventure because he was a seasoned pro. Here he looks like this is his first outing and he's wearing the date clothes he had on before the demon lord destroyed his hometown.
