When was the last time when you had fun playing video ames?
And by fun I mean the feeling that you can't stop, you are so excited about the story that your heart rate goes up, you love the characters.

Admit it, that kind of vidya died long ago.
>>
Undertale, desu.
>>
The weekend Pokken came out and me and my buddies played for hours fighting each other. Switching characters constantly, finding stuff generally having fun. A lot of local multilayer still feels great.
>>
Stardew Valley. Put 60+ hours into it. When I was away from my place I couldn't wait to get home and do more farming.

WoW. But mostly because of RP, Blizzard storywriting is bland.

DMC3 this past weekend. It's my first time spending any significant length on the series. I've been working through HD Collection and 3 makes me regret never owning a PS2 until around the time KHII launched.

I actually started Bloodborne for the first time yesterday. Was doing good killing all these tall human villagers. Then I went across a bridge to a giant beast and he fucking wiped the floor with me.
Ended up with no more health vials and had to kill all those guys again.
I turned the game off.

SMTIV until Asura repeatedly kicked my ass because the bitch you bring along loves to use nullified attacks against him and commence smirk-rape. Still though the atmosphere is great, takes me back to Nocturne. Also I'm going to play DSIII all night even though I have work the next morning so I have that to look forward too

Playing Magic Duels, me and a friend piloting a deck versus the AI, the my friend, who is way more experienced at Magic, teaching me how to play, and telling me what cards to play, when to play them, and why.

I've come to like Magic The Gathering more than vidya recently.

Mass Effect 2 was the last game where I literally could not stop playing and the excitement was palpable.

But you're right, a video game hasn't provided me that feel in a really long time, but I am older and immersed in university life and they have taken a back seat.

I DM/play DnD 5e which provides me with more excitement than any video game could.
>>
Bloodborne, Undertale, Witcher 3. Great games with beautiful and engrossing worlds, love all three. Bloodborne really stands out for me though, can't get enough of the gameplay and atmosphere.

I just played Xenoblade and it was fucking amazing. Characters were great.

I feel the same. I will bre branded like an idiot just because hurr durr bioware, but when I first played mass effect 2, I was so excited during the suicide mission that my heart was pounding like a madman.

What? Git gud? I tried parrying the beast with my gun but it didn't care. Dodging sometimes worked. Please! If I die should I start over a new character? I don't want to die right at the beginning...

I was just kidding. If you do some exploring you can find shortcuts to the boss and a lot of other areas. You actually don't have to kill that boss yet if you don't want to.
I know it's rough in the beginning, the difficulty curve is a little fucked. Just stick with it, you'll get better quickly.

>>332538453

Sounds like you don't actually like video games. Or maybe you just play them too much. I recommend you get a job if you don't have one or get a second hobby. Or maybe I'm wrong. I hope you find a fun game soon.

Anon don't try and party the cleric beast, hug his legs and dodge like mad, if you chose the pistol you can lock onto his head and stun him after a few good shots but overall I would say just wail on his legs and if he gets dazed go for the head. What weapons did you pick?

Keep close to the legs of the beast, ideally behind it. For the next boss, find an effective strategy yourself, figuring out these things is part of the fun.
