Still, I find it to be the weakest entry. I was a fan of the arc that 1 and 2 had built, and was eager to see a continuation or conclusion, and all I got was a filler episode with a character acting nothing like he'd previously been portrayed, interacting with another character who had never even been mentioned.
The Boss' is by far the dumbest part of the entire series, and MGS3 slapped you with it every 10 seconds.
Not to mention it's the only entry to not advance the series in any way, in any sense of the word. It stalled the plot, didn't introduce a graphical overhaul because of it's development time, and the few gameplay elements it did add were so bad it's amazing they were ever even OK'd.
It's worth noting that whole I've seen the entire film series and read a few of the books, I've never been a fan of the Bond series. I like the exaggeration of MGS, but I liked it when it felt like MGS. MGS3 feels so detached from itself and so much like a...well a Cold War 60s Spy parody, that it just didn't feel like Metal Gear.
I also blame MGS4 for acting as a sequel to 3 as much as 2, but I blame MGS3 for existing in the first place and garnering as much acclaim as it did.

I played most Kirby games aside from 2 DS titles and I can say for sure that all Kirby bosses are easy aside from some last bosses and Epic Yarn isn't as bad as you make it seem.
Good music and style also help a lot and Epic Yarn didn't have bad gameplay either. You wanted to suck things, too bad, this wasn't that kind of kirby game, but it worked and it isn't a bad platformer in any way.
I would agree the style suits a game like Woolly World better, but you're making it sound like it's some kind of horrible thing, which in fact it isn't, far from it actually.

First game with loads of mechanics done right and that still work years later in a company with inexperienced people on a not so strong software.
Offered variety, plenty to work around with within the game and set a good base for titles to come.
DP only changed the base values of stats and moves, bit of tweaking from an already existing concept, had horrible map and pokémon designs (some are great, but few), didn't really improve that much with new concepts which were only later realised with Platinum and HGSS.
