I like the idea of children and stat mixing, but FE explanations for them are always weird.
I have to say I agree. I love the idea of marriages (for pair up stats and supports), but children introduce unnecessary plotholes into the games.

the time travelling children from Awakening were bad enough. The children literally fucking raised in the literal fucking Hyperbolic Time Chamber is fucking retarded.
Just have the fucking adults become older and have weaker stats and have the kids come in young and fresh with better stats.
