if there's one thing i dont like about KI its that its the most UNGABUNGA game possible. hammer out special moves from neutral, hammer out auto combos, hammer buttons even when you're the one getting it hit, it's obviously made to be enjoyed by casuals mashing buttons, although the systems make enough sense to work a high level obviously.
Waiting for it to download right now. Been enjoying the music for the first two seasons. Thunder's and Fulgore's were my S1 favorites, while S2 had Kan-Ra's and Hisako's (as well as Aganos's) were the best themes.

For the life of me, can't figure out a decent combo with Tusk or Shago. Figured basic knowledge of Jago would carry over to Shago, but nope, they did a really good job of making him his own character.

He only played Shadow Jago during KIWC. P.Diamond almost knocked him out in last 8 because the problem with Shago is everything he does is incredibly unsafe and he got caught a number of times being punished as everything is negative on block. Get good at Breakers. Tusk is very much a hit 'em while they're down character. You don't create opportunities; you exploit them. His shoulder barge is a great open, you can quickly get behind characters with F+MP, and his sword plunge is crushing. Change your mindset first, then find ways to get the most damage you can

You can use that character in sp and non ranked online modes but the character cant use custom parts or gain xp and levels.

I mean compared to Gears of War Remake it's a lot better. What I mean is that it actually runs well. I didn't get to test the online, but KI seems to be a smaller install base of loyal fans. So if you're looking for tournament play you may not get a lot. To me it seems pretty in depth with auto's, manuals, combos, etc.It's a hell of a lot more enjoyable to me than SFV. It has other modes to offer and we can play with PC/XBOX players.
Take my opinion like a grain of salt though. I haven't played A LOT of KI yet. I'm gonna play a lot tonight with a friend.

Thunder is your boy. He's all about them throws. Hisako has tons of counters; not really a grapple, but same principle. Aganos is a giant golem that can give himself armor, making him a bit of an unhittable tank if used well.

Thunder is a dedicated grappler he has the highest damage output behind Tusk. He has tools to get in, when he's in the opponent's face he's terrifying because he'll either command grab or back throw and get a full combo. He has armor on his shadow triplax and his ankle slicer is invulnerable to low and his DP is projectile invulnerable
