MMO's stagnated and became a very shitty genre with no major advances in a foreseeable future.
I personally think the "Massive" aspects of MMO's were a mistake. You don't interact with a million people, a few hundreds are more than enough if the scale is right. We end up sacrificing gameplay aspects because of latency issues. No wonder this game became so shitty and stagnated.

I played closed beta, got 170h in.
It's a shitty, quest corridor, the only similarity to RO it has is the artstyle.
It's pretty boring, and grindy in a bad way.
In RO you could speed up the grind by using the game mechanics, going on Geos with fire arrows very low level, being boosted by using leafs on Anubs.
But in this game it's pure boring grind.
