Her skin is photosynthetic and she breathes through it and salt water hurts her.
Let me deconstruct this.
If her skin is photosynthetic that means she should have actual skin pigmentation. She does not. She is really pale so any increase in coverage by clothing should be a marginal decrease in effect compared to having an actual effective pigment. Since she doesn't eat photosynthesis also has to magically manufacture all the other essential nutrients she needs.
Breathing through her skin is a dumb excuse. The total surface area of your skin is a fraction of the total surface area of your lungs which makes it much less useful for gas exchange. Her gas exchange must be ridiculously efficient if all she needs is her skin so increasing coverage or just using loose clothing would not have a significant detrimental effect. Moreover because of the issues mentioned with photosynthesis she can't recycle used gas.
Even completely unclothed she can't remain still since she needs an air current of some kind to renew the spent air around her.
If salt water hurts her that means two things:
1. She can't sweat which means she has no heat regulation that I know of.
2. The surface of her skin is incredibly vulnerable to the sun since she has no pigmentation or protecting layer (Since her cells are hurt by a hypertonic solution)
If she wouldn't get killed by the heat the degenerating UV rays would fuck up both her and her parasite.
Also a bikini and torn hose are just going to get caught on rough surfaces and as a Sniper that depends on the ability to blend in (besides just invisibility) that clothing completely retains the human silhouette and makes her recognizable.
I'm almost certainly going to get flak for basically suggesting a Burka but I think that a parasite Ghillie suit would fix most of the problems I mentioned while still keeping most of the backstory intact and viable.
