Harvest Moon is great. It is more Harvest Moon. It is great.
The artisan and fish bundles were a huge pain in the ass. I wish hovering over a planted tree would let me know if it was growing, how long it needed, or at least what kind of tree it was. I found myself planting an orange tree, an apple tree, and then a pomegranate tree and none of them grew. I had to end up getting apples from the cart vendor and was just barely able to plant a pomegranate tree in the greenhouse in time for my dawn of the third year.

Prepare for spring, make a huge fenced field and get sprinklers ready so you don't have to water over 100 plants when spring comes.

Since you got more time, you can befriend more villagers during that time.
Unlock the sewer if you haven't, and attempt to get more Iridium sprinklers from Krobus and hit up the Gypsy every Friday and Sunday as well.
Stock up on Hardwood from the secret forest everyday.
Try upgrading all your tools.
There's plenty to do in Winter if you didn't do everything in Year 1.
It's all about getting ready for Year 2.
This game is everything I've ever wanted. It's a near-perfect cross between HM/AC, and best yet, it's on PC. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in years.

Infinite, but there's only 1.5 years of content. The first year is great, but the second year is just cleaning up everything you didn't get done in the first. Depending on how long it takes you to become a millionaire will decide how long you can play without getting bored. I wish there was a structured ending to the game with different events happening through out the years. But everything is scaled to you so if you're fast you can get shit done by the second spring, but if you're slow it will feel like nothing is happening for years.

Fishing is terrible. I got 10 fishing first year and caught all the fish fairly early on, but crops garner so much more profit. Hell, even mining gives you more cash than fishing.
Fishing is fun and great if you're multitasking, since you only need the mouse to do it, but yeah, it's a terrible source of income.
It's still worth leveling just to get the best headgear in the game.
