What's your opinion on Deadbolt /v/?
Its alright
Solid game. Pretty hard at times. Sweet soundtrack. Blood on the dance floor is good for work commute.
Kinda short at a few hours though. Still cheaper than a movie.
My opinion is that you should probably just suck Gaben's asshole to get your game on the front page of Steam with a 10% off sale instead of marketing it here.
you can do better, hopoo
>>332455242
Does hopoo browse /v/?
Looks like a Gunpoint rip off
>>332453914
i really want to buy it but i don't have the money, the soundtrack is great tho
>>332455385
He's from AGDG except he actually made a video game so I don't know if he browses here anymore.
Maybe he's on cripplechan? I doubt that though since /v/ over there is fucking horrendous even compared to this board.
Soundtrack's pretty good, violence is as satisfying as in Hotline Miami, I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised

>>332453914
another indie turd?
think ill pass
>>332456494
Posting my only other webm in case anyone's curious about the game. As I watch it again I realize it's the sound that makes the kills satisfying
Was just playing
Hard mode is hard
Super fun game though, based Hopoo
I'm honestly amazed it didn't take off harder on /v/, RoR is really popular here and it plays like Hotline Miami
>>332457287
That's the stage that plays "Blood on the Dancefloor" right?
>>332453914
Horrendous pacing, horrible gameplay, awful art direction. At least there's not a loyal cadre of autists spamming it like Risk of Rain.
>>332458695
>Risk of Rain is bad
how does it feel to have shit taste
why the fuck do you even have a webm of the game if you hate it so much
>>332459493
To show how shit the gameplay, pacing, AI, art direction and animations are.
>>332453914
It's good. Boss soundtrack.
Controls are kind of fucked. You can't make the interact button interact with goddamn everything, especially when they're in close proximity.
pretty good, though a little short, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. worth the dosh I think
It's pretty fucking great. I've got the B-ending but I'll be fucked if I'm gonna play it a second time though.
>>332458317
There's two stages that plays that I think. Both club-themed.
>>332460002
There's more than one ending? fuck.
>>332460105
I dunno, it said something like "the end...?" so I'm assuming the actual ending is behind some NG+ hard-mode bullshit. And Fuck that with a capital F.
>>332459642
I dunno, it looked pretty awesome up until you started beong terrible.
>>332455993
>even compared to this board
Come on, now.
>>332458695
I disagree
The pacing is pretty good, gameplay is fun as fuck, and I love the art
Can the final boss actually shoot you if you get too close? He raised a gun at me when I got close to him at the very end when he's kneeling, but I shot him before I could see if he did anything
A bit too short, but still fun, the difficulty is all over the place, though, and the gameplay isn't as open ended as I'd have hoped
I really like how all the tracks are variations on a theme
They still manage to stay hype though
>>332463593
He tries to shoot you but he's out of ammo. You hear his gun clicking.
>>332456494
Shit, that looks fun.
I'll pick it up when it goes on sale.
>>332453914
It exists.
It's gud
>>332463780
He can shoot you. If he fires his gun enough times he shoots. It annoyed me cause I stayed nearby for too long lining up a headshot for stupid dramatic reasons and he shot me.
So just don't take too long.
>>332459493
Risk of Rain has big core problems that are telling of how inexperienced and unskilled the developer is. I'd love to see it be done by a better dev but I doubt that'll happen.
>>332465668
Fair enough but it's still fun and worth playing
>>332465898
Certainly. However, Deadbolt looks strikingly mediocre. The dev doesn't show signs of improvement.
Why is it not on any pirate sites??
Gunpoint without leaping or the ability to fuck with wiring until you set up a trap where a buddy kills his friends with a mechanically locked door by frustratedly trying to turn a light on.
I somehow skipped past the last line of dialogue by the "god of life" candle thing before the credits. Anybody here recall what it said?
>>332466068
If you like hotline Miami it's definitely worth getting
At least this one doesn't have multiplayer to fuck up with shit netcode
>>332466267
>where a buddy kills his friends
My fucking brain stopped working.
>>332456494
Huh, I just realized that I went through the entire game without using cover.
>>332465668
he explained what happened, he changed to a new version of game maker for the mac and eventual sony versions of the game and it broke everything. he said if he had the chance, it would have been easier to just recode the entire game from scratch than porting it.
I'm just hoping it's like hotline miami where it's a buggy mess on pc until sony fixes it and then those fixes get backported to the pc version as well
>>332453914
it's pretty fuckin good, I beat it a few days ago.
