See, I'm kinda mad about the supports from this game and Awakening. Characters who are not part of the "main cast" (Reina, Scarlet, Izana, Flora, etc) only have support with the Avatar, and it's the same way in Awakening with Basilio, Flavia, Say'Ri, and the spotpass characters.
They could have easily had multiple supports with these characters like they did in the GBA games with unique recruits. Remember that old character Renault you recruit on the 3rd to last level in 7? He still had 5 unique, well-dialogued supports. Same with ALL characters in 6, 7, and 8.
They could of at least had Flora have supports with Jakob and Gunter, Scarlet with Ryoma, and Reina with other Hoshidans and Camilla.

Canas→Hugh
Hawkeye→Igrene
Bartre and Karla→Fir

I wouldn't mind if Mark is playable, but if they do that they'd definitely need to restructure some of the maps. I do hope that if they do it they keep him entirely out of the story, though.
He'd be an interesting character if you played as him for both generations; or even more interesting if you played as your child for gen 2. I think that'd be a nice change of pace.
The only thing they'd really need to do in a hybrid game, though, is fix Roy. While you could probably fix his stats with proper eugenics (even though most people will make Ninian his mom), he definitely needs earlier access to promotion.
