I don't know from the vids I watch of DaS2 he was mostly shittalking how easy it was until he arrived at a portion he couldn't beat easily at which point he instantly switched to shittalking about how unfair it was. But then again since I couldn't bear watching him fumble through DaS2 I watched the actually edited playthroughs so maybe they cherrypicked more generously.
The reasons why he could not progress past the mirror knight:

Either the tedium of the repeated sections between his deaths and his endless attempts to outwit simple mechanics gets me to stop or his atrocious commentating style does.
He burps, snorts, says "Okay" ever 4 seconds and goes on for minutes about his latest "Funny" joke or impression which he then laughs at with one of two incredibly shitty laughs.
I swear there's even a section in his R6: Siege video where he mocks a death sound for sounding stupid and it sounds exactly like a sound he regularly makes on stream but since I watched a TIHYDP I can't really be certain of that.

I can't say just how good mirror knight invasions are since most players I invaded were rocking 2 phantoms anyway so I generally got steamrolled unless multiple players sucked at the game either because you're vulnerable for about a second upon loading in because your screen is completely black and you can get AoEd to death instantly or because the mirror knight died too quickly (Mostly because I got summoned in at low ass health)

I used to hate DSP. I saw the mgs3 TIHYDP and how bad he was at it and took a dislike to him not because he was shit talking mgs3, but because everything he was complaining about could have easily been solved if he just thought about it for even a minute.

DaS he quit at blightown and returned years later. he pretty much summoned for the rest of the game, and most summons were actually his fans handholding him the whole time. Some of them even gave him equimpment and shittons of humanity. It went to the point were he refused to move if he didn't had at least one summon and let summons deal with bosses while he was looking from far away.
As for the other souls games he grinded like crazy.
