Why does GTAV run like shit on my PC? I've tried everything to get a consistent 60fps in this game and nothing is working. Right now I have it set to PS3 tier graphics of directx 10 with everything set to normal or off with distance scaling, pop density, and pop variety all the way down and I'm still getting constant dips into the 40's. What the fuck is with this game?

I forgot to mention I recently upgraded to the new AMD beta drivers they released. That has improved the framerate. Before I did that I was getting PS3/X360 fps framerate levels on any settings.
upgrade your ram

This is my system, very similar to yours, and i have almost all settings maxed out @ 1080 and the game runs fine, I never bothered to actually benchmark it so i cant say im hitting a constant 60 fps but id be very surprised if it was ever below 45.
Have you tried cleaning up your OS? do you have anything significant running in the background?
>>332399930
You can't turn on any of the advanced settings. Literally none of them, even a 980 Ti would cry with those all turned on.
Also you might want to look into ClockBlocker. Some AMD cards have some pretty aggressive underclocking issues. ClockBlocker ensures that your GPU maintains its core clock during gameplay.

>1360x768
Gee, I wonder why.
How about playing the game at a resolution that wasn't the norm in 2003?
>>332400239
With new AMD drivers you can turn of power saving so cocblocker isn't needed anymore
>>332399930
buy better ram, your current sticks are slow as shit
>>332400302
I have Crimson 16.3.1 and it still downclocks without ClockBlocker for me. Not really an issue since CB is a very easy fix, but still.
>>332400296
maybe you should reread my post dumbass.
>>332399930
>AMD
there's your problem.
>>332400239
I don't have any of the advanced settings turned on. I don't think you can even turn them on in DX10 mode. I'll look into ClockBlocker thanks.
>>332400317
I've been holding off on RAM until I upgrade to DDR4. Maybe I should get new RAM sticks until then.
>>332400317
How about you read a bit about RAM memory and how they work, before posting stupid bullshit like this?
Hint: multipliers. D in DDR stands for "Double".
Speccy shows the "bare bones" speed without these modifiers, not the actual speed.

>he bought NSHIDIA
Good goyim, I-i mean intelligent consumer.
>>332401670
>he bought AMD
>>332401839
3.5GB
>>332401964
no drivers
Your pc must be bloated
>>332399930
>AMD Radeon
There you go.
>>332399930
always alt tab after you run the game, set the game to high priority, set vsync to variable in your amd control panel
>>332399930
Put everything maxed except Advanced graphics and grass.
MSAA to 4x or 2x.
You should run it fine
>>332403450
And before you get confused, yes alt tab fixes performance in gta5, dont ask just do it
>>332401964
At least I get 1080p60 in GTAV
>I'm getting ps3 graphics but at least I'm not a meme, right guys?!
Works for me! :^]
>>332403972
pm'd you the fix :^)
the pirated version has a higher requirements because of the mining :^)
literally turn off the water quality to low and it'll fix everything. i had the same shit happening to me with GTA IV
something about the water effects doesn't sit well with amd
>>332404671
Nope. There is no "low" setting in GTAV. It only goes down to normal.
>>332404497
>mfw pirated version actually has better performance because you dont have 1000000000000000000000000000 clients running in the background
>mfw he had to install steam, origin, rockstar club, uplay, playfire, xfire, gfwl and last but not least gog downloader
>all to play a shitty game you get banned out of for using mods
>>332402093
As opposed to ones that blue screen and fuck up your card?
>>332407971
as opposed to the ones that can play gta5 :DDDDDDD
