what the fuck?
>>
>>332387342
What's wrong? People loved Gametrailers and now that they don't have dipshit producers over their heads, they can now fully produce the content they want and the people can support them
>>
also, why is nobody talking abou this?
>>
At least they are making content, how breeding seasons has 32k a month after 3 years and 0 porn is beyond me.
>>
>>332387467
Been had talked about it, you weren't here apparently when it was going on
>>
>>332387342
whats the problem here? are you actually upset people are supporting a group?
>>
>>332387502
>yfw it's the same people donating the same money over and over again

I can't speak for the rest of the crew, but Brandon Jones makes excellent background noise.
He's also nice to listen to.

This group is pretty much just GameTrailers when they shut down but with one of the guys replaced with someone else that got laid off a year or so beforehand.

That entire fanbase (which frankly I didn't think could translate into $33K) gave them a pretty strong rolling start.
>>
is 33k for 7 people a good money in LA?
>>
>>332387793
o wait, it's actually 9 people
>>
>>332387696

If we're going just on background noise then I gotta say:

Jones>Bosman>Moore>the rest

though I love them all and think they're pretty funny guys. Even Ian.

>>332387793
It's 9 people (though one lives in texas I think) but that's still over 40K a year which I mean I dunno how it is in cali but that ain't bad living. Nevermind merchandise, twitch subs, youtube ads etc.

Comes to about 45k a year but keep in mind it's a job with no healthcare, dental, vision or pretty much any benefits at all.

The average patreon donation per person is under $9, they just got bigger people like Shuhei Yoshida to support them because of personalities like Kyle Bosman
>>332387793
>>332388009
Keep in mind that they also can have Twitch subscribers/donations, selling murchandise and youtube ad revenue to add to the money
>>
>>332387342
What is this all about? Fill me in.
>>
>>332388009
you're acting like 100% of the money is going directly to those 9 people. its not. they just bought equipment and that ain't cheap. they're also looking to get a studio at the 50k mark and that has an upkeep.

Basically about a month ago, Defy Media, the owners of Gametrailers at the time, shut the site down the day they were announcing it and a lot of fucking people were angry/sad about these guys being forced from their jobs
So about a week ago, the guys from Gametrailers launched Eazy Allies, a new gaming video production channel to basically continue Gametrailers under new names, they were planning on doing just Twitch streams for a while until they could build up money but their patreon exploded after release and are now buying equipment to go full force on developing new content
>>
I think these guys put out some good shit

I mean I never gave a fuck about disney infinity until I heard Brandon Jones just gushing about how relaxing farming was in it, and I didn't even know there was a game based on that movie about hamsters until I saw Kyle playing it and I mean, there's something really refreshing about seeing people just genuinely enjoying games you know?
>>
>that shitty Ian video

refunded my money. I can wait a few extra days for the podcasts.

I'm okay with this

I hope they keep being agenda-free; they were definitely the most tolerable between the 'big three' outlets (gamespot, ign, gt) in terms of reviews and reports, and I was kind of sad to see them go
