He also didn't expect the game to sell that many copies. As all his previous games sold 300k-500k. Instead, the controversy propelled it up to 1.5 million units.

Muramasa was more obvious at parts, particularly on the large bosses.

Some people didn't get a chance to play these games, and others prefer to stick to their preferred platform. You're naive to think games have an expiration date on them; regular Doom holds up to this day and it's twenty years+ old.
Also Vanillaware has expressed interest in seeing some of their games ported to PC. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Muramasa or DC port within the next couple of years, and if they're successful, eventually the possibility of simultaneous multiplatform releases. VW has a good relationship with Sony, but some of their earliest games were on Sega consoles.
Kamitani's not the sort of person who's a businessman, he likes to pour his heart and soul into a game and be around like minded individuals. DC didn't get any DLC because he wanted all the content it needed added through patches or there from the start. Odin Sphere is getting a remake that is a 100% rework, AND the original game is there too. He of all people would be all for ports, but he knows his team can't do it themselves.

Because PR speak when it comes to PC is TOTALLY proof that they care about the platform. They didn't acknowledge your platform of choice just to shut you up or anything. IFI says they enjoy how well Neptunia sold on PC, yet all they're porting are the old Vita games, while the new games will stay console exclusive for a few years. Sega said that VC sold well on PC, yet the new VC is PS4 exclusive. Sega only ports old games to PC, while they make new Yakuzas and Mikus for the PS4. I don't care about the port, I just care about the implications of it. Dragon's Crown came out in 2013 for PS3 and Vita. The PC port came out YEARS later. Vanillaware's other new games, like Odin Sphere and that Sentinel game, are slated to be PS4 exclusive. Delayed ports only encourage port begging, if they were serious about PC, they'd make day 1 versions. But they don't, because they are Japanese, and the Japanese have a biological aversion to PC.
You know why this keeps happening? While you're here doing nothing, the opposition is bawling to get their way. Maybe if you'd let the Dev's know they have your support and these people don't represent the western market, they wouldn't be so quick to cave.
