I think Miis and Funky were the two most used.
Funky's stats, Bowser Bike stats, bike boosts, and the inwards drifting made that specific combo easily one of the bests in the game.

Do the mods make it good? Because MKWii is pretty weak compared to DD, 7 or 8. The biggest reason I played it was because it had online so I could play with friends, but there's no reason for this anymore.
