So I never really played any of the Fallout games before 4. I was at my local Walmart and scooped these two up for like $12 each. They have all the downloadable content so figured that was a bretty good deal. Decided to start with New Vegas first cause I've heard that's the better of the two. So fellas what I want to know is am I in for a good time?

The games are OK on PC but outright terrible on consoles. New Vegas is really fun with mods and you cant mod the 360 version.
Sell them and buy the PC versions. Seriously, this isn't even console wars, it's likely that on console without the help of mods you will eventually experience gamebreaking bugs. Besides all the other mods that can improve the experience.
OP, dont mind these faggots. Ive played over 200 hours on each on the console. Yes PC is better (mods, console commands) but console is still enjoyable.

fuck why would you get console version. fallout 3 and NV can run on pretty low end PCs, mine isn't that great but i can usually keep a solid framerate for both games
anyway both games are good but new vegas is undoubtedly better, its one of my favorite games of all time and you're bound to have a good time with it

OP here I don't have a PC just a laptop so that's why I got these. I played 4 on PS4. Alright I'll start with 3 first then. I do want to do Liberty Prime missions so that's the one I should go with for that.

Liberty Prime is at the very end of the game and it's a 5 minute segment. Not really worth it.
Fallout 3 is horrifically boring in general.
If you can get the PC versions, do that. I got like over hundreds of hours on console and I played them both on that but once I got a good PC, got em again and modded em. Can not stand vanilla now. It's really just... Eh. Vegas is still decent I suppose.

Fallout: New Vegas has better plot, guns, melee combat, companions, armor, perks, sidequests, and leveling.
Fallout: 3 has a better map design(more open), atmosphere, and random encounters.

The games run fine on consoles you fucking memespouters. The glitches and freezes have been patched for years now. I played 80+ hours just recently and only had 3 like freezes.
The only advantage of PC is texture mods. The meat and potatoes of the experience is there and very enjoyable regardless of platform.

I had 2 crashes on PC, and that's only because I didn't have NV Anti-Crash. PC is unanimously the version anyone should play, regardless if it performs better or not, because mods are fucking magical.
