Bloodborne is great, for sure, every souls game until this point is.
But it's no in the same level that the previous games were specially in the replay value.
It's just extremely polished all the way through. I didn't feel like it was better than Dark Souls until after the DLC came out though.
Bloodborne did a lot of things really well, but had some big problems.
-Framerate (unexcusable)
-Jaggies (excusable)
-Weapons only upgrade through one path (not a big problem, really)
-Pretty short as an overall experience (Chalice dungeons are great and all, but couldn't the main game have some more length to it? The areas are designed in a very nice, compact way though)
-Gestures through motion controls is a completely retarded first-gen-wii-game decision
-The shitfest that is trying to get the Rakuyo, and yeah that is retarded enough to be a negative

The game is cheap shit with one shot kill bosses late in the game which require cheap tactics to beat with any degree of certainty. why do people always complain about micolash? yes the magic missiles are almost always OHK but his stun lock is a fucking joke and you can literally just spam attack until all your stamina is depleted and then just do it again. all you have to do is stand next to him and as soon as you see him charging just hit him and he breaks off the attack.

I actually agree with this, I actually bought a PS4 just to play Bloodborne and MLB The Show and I honestly had a tough time getting into Bloodborne. It was good, but it just felt off to me.
The best map IMO was definitely Old Yharnam. I was totally shocked when Djura said, "I must stop you!" or whatever and I looked up to see a hail of fucking gatling gun fire coming down at me from that tower. That moment was amazing, but everything else felt kind of bland to me.
I've put about 45 hours into DS3 and all I want to do is play Bloodborne. DS3 is great but all I want now is Bloodborne's mechanics. It's so hard to go back to DS weapons after a year with trick weapons.

There is no specific "next" boss after Ebrietas. She's an optional boss at the end of an optional dead end path that you don't have to do and is, in fact, out of your way. There are 10 different bosses that could be the next boss, depending on what you've done.
I liked Bloodborne, a lot. It might be my favorite game in years.

its the aesthetic of bb that people love. the idea that there is this world of eldritch horrors lurking under your nose but no one can see them because they have no "insight" into what is happening. then when someone becomes able to comprehend the lovecraftian madness surrounding them, they gouge out their eyes because the horror is too despicable to even look at.
in lovecraft stories there is a common theme that the "old ones" are such abominable, twisted creatures that to even see them will literally turn you insane.
that is fucking awesome as shit. also, gothic setting is much cooler than swords'n'sorcery fantasy that's been done to death.
if they'd release the game in a playable state, i'd buy the shit out of it.

You have to shoot sort of late, but not as late as you'd normally think. The hard part is that the windup for their attacks is much longer than expected. It's also easy to trade hits and end up unable to riposte.

You can get yourself into a really bad situation in Dark Souls . I tried tackling the DLC with a Divine Barbed Straightsword and I was basically fucked, so I went back and made a Lightning Claymore +5.
I've died more times against the rifle spear hunter near the grand cathedral than any other enemy or boss in the game thus far.

Tanky strength builds don't exist in BB, even if you use the Kirkhammer or something you still move in the same way because equip load doesn't affect you and there's no shields. That's my main complaint with 3 being Bloodborne-ified.

It's one of my favorite games of all time. I think the insight system is what hooked me. The fact that you are constantly being watched by gigantic spider gods but can only see them if your Insight is high enough really sets the tone.
