Oh well, looks like I have no way of knowing if your game is going to be shit or not, OP

how much does it cost for licensing from denuvo? sounds like they're basically losing money from this

You know, he tries so hard to be unlikable I'm starting to think this is all a social experiment.
>>
>>332337156
>Denuvo V2
The V2 was "cracked", that was the one on MGSV and Arkham Knight. JC3 and Primal have V4
>>
>>332337156
I'm no pirate, but I fully expect Denuvo to be broken eventually. If people can get something for free, even by stealing, someone will put in maximum effort to do it, even (especially) if they're lazy fuckers at all other times.
>>
>>332337156
But Denuvo keeps getting cracked.

You little homo cucks with mommy's money keep screaming about DRM all the time and it's always fucking nothing.
>>
What game is it even supposed to be?
>>
>>332338449
floating simulator
>>
It's only a matter of time before it's cracked. Meanwhile, publishers are wasting money on denuvo, which translates to less money spent on developing the actual game, and the game still sells to you for the same price. How can anyone look at this, think it's a good thing, and applaud it? There are no winners, literally everyone loses
>>
>>332337590
Yeah no shit, they already require you to run Steam and 3rd party launchers and systems in order to fucking play your game, no need for a Denuvo buttcoin miner process.
>>
>>332337590
>kill their own game by eliminating piracy

Are pcfags really this delusional?
>>
>>332338579

Not him, but I always pirate before I buy and so do many of my friends.

>indie game
Meaning the dev is a poor guy in his garage

Meaning dev paid a huge tone of money to protect his game

Meaning nobody buy it

Meaning dev lost a fucktone of money

Dev is poorer than before

And I thought this board couldn't sink much lower.
>>
>>332338579

to quote gaben: piracy is prevented when users get a more convenient alternative

securom, deuvo etc aren't convenient (try playing a retail PC copy of bioshock 2)
>>
>>332339043

/v/ is mostly console kids that want their PCs to be just like their consoles

hilariously instead of that everything is just going to emulate mobile platforms
>>
>>332339123
Denuvo is hardly as inconvenient as most of the DRM
>>
Good to see them waste time and money on shit like DRM instead of making good products people will want to buy.
>>
>>332339123
Denuvo is inconvenient how?
>>
>>332339342
You can't change your PC coponents without asking for a new key and if you play offline for more than a week you can't launch the game.

What's more inconvenient than that ?
>>
>>332339553

Always online.

Never heard that about Denuvo. Isn't that the Upday shit?

But that's good. Indie devs are fucking horrible.

>You can't change your PC coponents without asking for a new key and if you play offline for more than a week you can't launch the game.
Sounds more like inconveniences due to playing on PC. Just get a console.
>>
>>332339726
Sounds like Securom.

Not surprising though, they were bothbmade by those kikes Sony.
>>
>>332339726
No, Uplay is always online politics on most of its games
>>
>>332339972
Pretty sure it was related to uplay. It was one of the reasons why I didn't buy Anno 2070, heard people complaining about limited CD key accesses
>>
>>332339423
Piratefags can never answer this.

Best they can do is claim some bullshit with no credible source.

Many testimony on this and even devs confirmed the key parts. You can look it up or try it yourself
>>
>>332340134
Do you mean Denuvo only or in general? Because I'll tell you right now that vidya piracy used to be pretty small time. Then we got Starforce, which was such a trainwreck that people who had never pirated did so, realized that hey, they got the game for free and that's awesome, and never looked back.

I won't go so far as to say Denuvo is the next Starforce, but Gaben's got a point in general.

Also false. Steam signing you out is a bug that got fixed forever ago.

As long as it doesn't kill performance, I don't really care.

The catch is that every single Denuvo game I own runs like utter shit on my high end system.

Why is everyone going on about keys and offline mode? Denuvo isn't DRM itself, its tamper protection for the DRM which I expect is steam works. /v/irgins talking shit as usual.
