Right, right. But if I run this shit with everything maxed out at 20-30FPS (including heavy performance mode or whatever it was called) I STILL get pop ins. I've never, ever played an MMO/video game in general where it was this bad.

Yeah, that, in general, doesn't cause pop in, just FPS drops. I can drop the settings for an acceptable 60FPS, but then I get even more pop in.

Changing weapons changes your class.
Classes/jobs share some cross class skills with other classes.
Grinding other classes basically lets you fill any role

Which is what I've been trying to tell you. It has absolutely nothing to do with machine specs because even if I lower settings for a buttery smooth 60FPS (which wont tax my GPU/CPU fully) I still get pop in, only more of them because I don't have high end mode turned on.
It's a common enough problem, I wonder if you've just conditioned yourself not to notice it or don't play the game at all.

BDO has tons of afk stuff like fishing, processing and cooking.
The game even features a close to system tray were the game basically shut downs but keeps you online so you can afk fish/cook/whatever
