Marty McFly just recently made an MXAO and Indirect Lighting shader for GTA V ReShade. Said he's working on his own ReShade preset/graphics mod for V, but taking his time with it so it can set itself apart from all the other reshades so people don't skim over it like it's ReShade #195853 w/ 120% Saturation + 200% Sharpening.
Too bad he's also still stuck doing presets for fucking GTA SA.

But how do I install this shit? The posts there aren't helping either "Remove all shader files and install this one instead". Like what? Where do I put it? How do I activate it? It's just a reshade.fx file with a png. Why is reshade so anti-user and convoluted?

rename the file to MXAO.h and move it and the other file to your ReShade folder.
in your ReShade.fx add this line

That should work. That's how it's done with the version included in VisualV.
Oh yeah. VisualV has a special version of the MXAO+Indirect Lighting custom made for it, and the installation is pretty basic. So you can just use that if you want.

I've got a mod for Skyrim so that when you're generally walking around there's no DoF but if you stop and focus on a singular entity up to a certain distance it stays in focus and everything else gets a bit of blur on it. Kinda cool looking if you ask me, but I can understand why people hate DoF in general. Also since I only have a 770 without DoF I can't install all my graphical mods AND stay above 30fps. It fucking chugs if I run through a forest, I really should just tone down the grass and lighting but it looks so damn pretty and runs fine indoors and in pretty much any area that's not a forest.
