Ono said story relevance was a factor for SFV. I just wonder exactly how fast that will change once season one is done.
Also, I know we weren't promised anything, but the lack of a trailer at the last major event before the DLC is released is just really poor communication on Capcom's part. Everything this month from Alex to the update has just been poorly dealt out, which considering how every tweet, facebook post, and stream ends with "WHERE'S ALEX," you'd think Capcom (or at leas the SF division) to be that dense. Guess we were wrong. While Capcom is still in the "right" since it's still March, this shit isn't helping anyone.

For what it's worth, they actually did give Makoto, Ibuki, and Elena schoolgirl outfits in SFIV, but people still dropped Ibuki and only played Elena because of healing. Capcom's already stated the reason for them discontinuing that business method is because less and less people kept buying every new iteration. That said, they can still pull a MKXL and release a disc with all the DLC characters, patches, etc. and they'd still be in the right. It's only when the XL version is mandatory for tourney's, with exclusive balance patches and updates, that it becomes a problem.

Yes. We get that. It's more frustrating because it's like repeatedly watching someone fuck up when the solution is in front of their face. "Done" is "done," but watching Capcom remain silent in front of the 70k people that actually care hurts to watch. I get the feeling Capcom's only doing this because Sony paid for them to work on SFV, so they kinda want to cash in, and cash out, while trickle feeding content to keep people 'ass in seats' logic. in earnest the systems in place feel like a 'Fighter MMO' were I'll log in to do my 'Dailys' and then pass it out for something else. it's going to ensure I check in each day for my fight money, otherwise I'll have to use real money for all of this other stuff.
