You playing it yet, /v/? It's even got the XSEED translation!
Nothing? I thought /v/ loved Falcom?
fake?

>>332242072
no es fake
pardon the screen-tearing cat
is this fake
>>332242635
Do I need to record some gameplay, because it isn't fake.
There was a chinese PC port released last October. Somehow it found it's way to the English-speaking web and somebody made a patch that both patches out the DRM and implements the XSEED translation.
>>332242295
Is that bundled with the translation?
>>332241087
Got it installed and I played a bit but only to the point that I exit the tavern. Closed the game to look around to see if I could get it to run in my native res and succeeded. Then I never got back to it becasue I found out this is apparently a beta translation patch.
>>332242863
yes
>>332242863
The patch.zip has loose files that you copy and replace after you install the game.
>>332242864
They used Xseed's translation, you even see it on the title screen. Beta just means you might get glitches and etc.
>>332241087
>>332241640
I'd rather have the chance to buy it to support them both.
Steam release when
>>332241087
>that 1080p and 60 FPS
Chinese gods have blessed us.
So is the chinese port using the XSEED patch translation?
>>332243303
Yeah.
Also if it wasn't obvious by my screenshots, the game runs well under WINE.
>>332243534
HOW THEY DID IT? It's impossible O_O
>>332243717
You need to be at least 18 to use this site.
So what, did XSEED just happened to misplace their translation in the internet or do they always do this for games they translated but then got canned?
I don't get why Xseed didn't just put it on steam, I'd gladly have given them my money. I like Ys games well enough to pay for them.
I mean, now that they haven't given me a choice I'll just as gladly pirate it here but I don't understand the logic behind these decisions. It's like they don't want money.
>>332244007
One would presume they got they hacked the Vita game which Xseed released to get the script and inserted it into the PC game.
>>332244145
Joyoland probably has some licensing deal with Falcom.
I already beaten the game 3 years ago. Why would I replay it now?
I was playing this with a PS3 controller, got stuck after the first boss because I couldn't teleport using the buttons
Then, in my sleep, it occurred to me that maybe I could use the mouse to click to the location
It worked and I felt retarded
>>332244007
How hard is it to grasp that the chinese ported Y's MoC to PC. And some guys made a fan patch using XSeeDs script from the localized Vita version.
VITAFAGS ON SUICIDE WATCH
PC WINS AGAIN BABYI'm sorry
>party ys
no thanks senpai
>>332244501
I bought the Vita LE and I'm not even mad.
If anything, I want dat chinese PC version physically for the extras. Anyone know where I can import?
>>332244269
I got stuck there too. It's so weird that they let you select a destination on the map using the controller but you have to click to actually do the teleport.
>>332241640
Celceta is shit.
>press diagonally on my 360 controller analogue stick
>starts walking instead of running
other than that, seems likethis isn't a very good ys game.
>>332244638
>I want dat chinese PC version physically for the extras
What extras?
This was my first Y's game.
How is it a bad Y's game. Please explain.
>>332245147
>Y's
You can't even say the name of the game right.
>>332245147
Who is Y and what kind of games does he make?
Should I play SEVEN before Celceta, just to get a feel of the engine?
>>332245147
>Y'sPrevious Ys games were much harder and had basically no fetch quests
>>332245147
No jumping
Stupid buddy system
Shit story
Shit ost for a Ys game
Shit bosses
Shit 3D graphics
Overall shit gameplay and the next game looks just as bad. Do yourself a favor and play Origins or Oath instead.
>>332245359
May as well. I don't see why not.
>>332241087
Shit I never thought I would get to play this. This is awesome.
>>332245137
nendos of the characters and some other stuff I think.
>>332245147
>asking falcom cancer anything about any falcom game ever
>>332245394
I thought YS 7 had them.
And I recall in Oath having to go back and forth with the crystal selling quest and some other quest to get stuff for people.
For me, there was a game-breaking glitch at the Sacred Beast's Lair. After you beat the first leg of the giant fish boss and get to the obvious boss arena, Adol and his party just stand there frozen in a cutscene and the boss fight never happens.
>>332246017
At least Oath had great gameplay that never got old. I got bored of Celceta quick on my Vita. Never played 7.
Not that guy you replied to.
can't get it to save the fullscreen 1080p option
>>332245978
anon... why?
my raging boner is now crying
>Own all Ys games on Steam
>Can't play them because I have a huge backlog and I don't have enough time
>>332248050
Same here, with the exception of Ys I and II, which I beat on theDS. I got about halfway through Napishtim playing the unofficial Greywolve PC patch, but then stopped playing when I accidentally glitched through a hole in the floor.
>>332242635
>>332245359
Celceta's engine is pretty mich easier on every way. Added Flash Step and took away consequence on mistiming flash guard. SP gain attack is automatic instead of charged. Using bad attack is still viable since it still does half damage. Seven, however, is more fun imo
Ys SEVEN is one of the best games in the series.
Source: lifetime Ys fan, not a steam "I play felghana 10 years after it was released and every game should be like that" babby
>>332249874
>SP gain attack is automatic instead of charged
That's not really easier, it just makes you less likely to break your X button
>>332250318
So glad I don't have to dodge a round of attacks while holding the button down.
>>332250318
>>332250568
You do realize there was a charge attack that regained more SP per hit in Seven, right? If you knew what you were doing, you basically never ran out of sp.
>>332250754
You can dodge while charging so every time the boss did an attack pattern I had my thumb down on attack while tapping dodge. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world.
this is great, thanks a lot OP
>>332242635
I made a quick video to showcase it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqFpOlQI1Mg
It runs alright. But man, it really does look ugly. Guess that's what happens when you make a PSP game for Vita and then port it to PC.
>>332251434
The Vita have more graphical effects, like bloom, than your video has.
>>332251936
Read the description
>>332251434
Other than lighting it's not really worse than the PC Ys or Trails games, then again those were made half a decade earlier.
>>332252023
Read the post
>>332252534
Only if you read the description
>>332245147
It's just lacking in almost every category. It's still a fun game though, even if it isn't a good Ys game.
>>332241087
Saving Ys from page 10
>>332250310
I think Oath beats out Seven but only in gameplay and difficulty. Seven had superior music and story and good gameplay still.
>>332256637
PC GAMER A SHIT
So, that means that we can play every Ys game on PC now, right?
>>332258556
Until Ys 8 comes out, yeah, pretty much.
Where's muh bump combat?
>>332244952
You would be correct
>>332241087
lighting is fixed or not?
Will there be some kind of "official" scene release of this? I don't want to download lostboy
Coming from Origin I really enjoyed being able to give retarded responses to things in Celceta. Fuck characters with predetermined lines.
The game bugs out at the sacred beast lair with the english patch. Dont waste your time.
>>332256637
>dinging it for grammar"
>pronouncing it FACKS
>>332241087
Played on vita a couple years ago.
>>332260447
what can you tell us about the game anon?
>>332261036
What do you want to know?
>>332261036
It was alright. Action RPG, mostly action. Music was cool. People seem to recommend playing on hard to make it more interesting. Has cute girls.
Game is trash until it gets a PC/PS4 port. Never change /v/
>>332261467
Game is still trash even after the PC port
>>332261326
>People seem to recommend playing on hard
there's something in me that tells me Ys games are meant to be played on the hardest difficulty, no exception
