Should there be a Mario Galaxy 3?
>>332232538
No, but Nintendo is creatively bankrupt enough to make it.
>>332232538
SMG3, SM64-2, whatever gets Rosalina back in the action, hell yes.
>>332232538
I don't see why.
Of course not
Super Mario 3D World showed that you don't need to go back or base the entire game on a single theme, but rather visit multiple of them, 3D World managed to have levels based on both Galaxy and Sunshine
That being said a game with the same high quality touches of Galaxy with the level variety and Platforming perfection of 3D World would be amazingOpen World fags can go commit suicide, Mario's not about that
>>332232649
>People are still this butthurt about 3D World
>>332233190
Mario's not about 3D platforming either, you retard. The series always performed the best when it stuck to its 2D platforming routes.
>>332232538
no, rosalinafags ruined it for everyone
>>332232538
The only reason they would likely put out a Galaxy 3 is to cash in on everyone whining about SM3DW. That's literally the only reason. If they wanted to put out a new, good 3D title, then they'd come up with a new original idea.
If they did that would be Dissapointing
Super Mario 3D World didn't have the high quality of the Galaxy series but it still had more areas of interest to build levels around
Galaxy shouldn't lock itself, Miyamoto already confirmed they were starting a new concept
Reminder
>The number of Nintendo fans that have picked up 3D paint shooter Splatoon will also help increase the number of players that are used to controlling a 3D camera, Miyamoto added, and should help the next 3D Mario find a wider audience.
Aka we are getting a controller camera back
>>332232538
I'd rather have Sunshine 2or something new for once.
>>332236181
>spoiler
You mean likeSplatoon?
I think they should have made a Mario Universe instead, and the scale would be much larger than Galaxy. Probably same amount of stages, but way more different environments depending. Of course, how would they transcend the polar coordinate movement that Galaxy had?
>>332232538
I'd like something new, but it's definitely preferable to another NSMB 3D title
>>332232538
that
fucking
reflection
>>332232538
Source on this?
3D Mario with different worlds accessed via time travel vs. 3D Mario in cyberspace
Go
>>332240772
Cyberspace would be good. Sonic already did time travel
>>332241016
so did mario...
>>332241560
Not in a platformer
>>332233338
>Mario's not about 3D platforming either
That's why they made it about that.
>>332232538
I don't think so. 3D World was a great game, even if it felt like it was lacking a cohesive theme. The platforming was great, the co-op was great, and it's the first game in a while I've heard kids screaming about when I go to an actual game store.
I like the mix of straightforward platforming and exploration that 3D World had (and to an extent 3D Land). It's nice not to have to deal with those awful stars from 64/Sunshine/Galaxy1&2 if you don't want to, while still giving you incentive to explore the entire level for the three stars and the sticker.
They're all great though, except Sunshine.
>>332232538
No. They're shit. Give us 64 2
>>332233373
How did fans ruin a potential sequel? Could it be? You are what they call irrationally bootyblasted ?
>>332233338
>The series always performed the best when it stuck to its 2D platforming routes.
nah, Super Mario 64 was better than all of the 2d mario games and other 3d mario games combined.
>>332241971
Fludd-less sections in Sunshine are essentially the only 64-2 we're ever going to get
