The music doesn't hold a candle to that of Bravely Default. Combat mechanics have been improved, new jobs are great, new characters are entertaining, story's not a subversion of FF tropes like Default was and is largely "princess is in another castle" shit - but is still entertaining and has a couple of nice twists.
The "gravy" stuff got old fast for me, but that's just a repurposing of the Japanese original text, so I understand why they did it. Magnolia spoke English as her quirk in the Japanese version, rather than French as she does in ours - "good gravy" was her catchphrase.

Tiz probably had the best, it sounded heroic enough. Yew's is okay, the first 20-30 seconds of his theme are probably my favourite part from all 4 themes. Magnolia's is just eh; it's just the normal theme that plays for her but in metal.
But they all breakdown into really fast guitar riffs hapfway through that just become white noise I wanted to block out. And there's my issue; it's all guitar and metal, it lacked the variety of Default's themes. Never would I have thought bagpipes and a flute would entice me to a theme so much but Tiz's theme in Default did, as did Ringabel's accordian and Edea's guitar and saxophone, Agnes' violin not so much but you get the idea.

She initially portrays Yew's descendants (primarily Griede) as monsters, before the brief sympathy bit right at the end, yeah. But with the proper context and reading all the diary entries, you'll see how Griede started off full of youthful ambition and vigor, wanting to make his mark on the world - in a positive fashion. He became jaded as time marched on and events spiralled out of control because he wasn't the chosen one he thought he was made out to be. The first in the Geneologia line (forget his name now, been a good 3-4 weeks since I completed it) located and sealed Ms Yokai in the shrine he found her in, filled with grief that he couldn't cure her of her ailments but promising that one of his family line would one day return to cure her - leading to the stupid rules (that essentially created The Kaiser and the events that kick off Bravely Second as is) the Geneolgia family had to live by, but they were created with noble intent. Griede's efforts to save the girl were made with noble intent. Yew's efforts to make the world a better place and redeem the name of the Crystalguard were made with noble intent. Braev's efforts to establish the Duchy were made with noble intent, and you saw how fucked up his empire became in the first game in a relatively short amount of time, despite being an initially oppressed faction.

Guardian and Exorcist are great though, Guardian's an excellent tank and has a goddamn kamehameha, and Exorcist can pull some fun shit when you know what you're doing.
I agree that Cowboy and Fencer are a little underwhelming but they still work just fine and have lots of utility, and just the very idea of a Baker/Catmancer class cracked me up enough to make it me love them. They're really nice supports too, just having to farm for stuff is a bit tedious.

I became rather fond of Catmancer. Used it since I got it until the very end. It was a very fun and useful Job. It made me mad that Vampire was given so late in Default. If I ever replay Default I'll make sure to transfer the jobs and have a Vampire Fest.
Guardian felt like the less useful of them all. The Soul Power requirement was simply not worth it. The Possession gimmick didn't feel any useful either and last but not least a Tank Job should be given early into the game, not after you've gone 3/4 into the game without a dedicated one.
