Depends on your tolerance for older games.
Mechanically sound, world is really well realised, writing is great (my favourite characters Rockstar has ever written). Some janky ass mini games are the biggest issue with this. Shop class was the standout. I don't know if anyone else has this experience but it was basically a string of quick time events that had the detection window way too early, so I had to memorise the whole thing to get through it.
If you have patience, and could see yourself playing a game mechanically similar toa much smaller San Andreas for the first time, I would absolutely recommend it

To me a new kid coming to Bullworth a few years later would be the best one. There could be expansions to the town and school, along with more cliques, like Punks, who never made the cut for the original.
Bully was made by the same team that did Max Payne 3 (Rockstar Vancouver [rip]).
If a sequel is in development then I hope Rockstar Toronto is doing it since that's where the old Bully devs ended up.

You know damn well if it did get released now it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as the original. The same guys aren't working on it anymore, not to mention production costs and advertising on a triple A game means they have to make their investment back. Meaning as good as it might be, there will be features added in order to nickle and dime you also it would be made to pander to the common denominator.
That isn't to say it won't be a good game, especially now seeing as the stagnation of the market is so evident, I just couldn't imagine it would ever do justice to the original.

Scholarship edition is the definitive version of the game. They just need to hammer out a few minor bugs and it will be perfect.
Bully was one of my favorite games of all time. I remember I had no idea what it was until I took it home and I was instantly hooked. I was the same age as Jimmy so I spent a little to much time pretending I was in that world and that I was Jimmy. I pretended some of the students were kids I didn't like from real life school and would always target them in the game.
Haha good times. I want a Bully 2 but I don't know if it would be the same for me now that I'm 23. Maybe they will make it at a college, except people don't just go around beating people up in college.

I also want the new game to target a T for Teen rating like the original, even if it's not exactly realistic. The suggestive humor was way more effective overall than GTAV's blatant humor, in my opinion. The PS4 port is rated M, though.
I know it'd probably end up more basic in several ways compared to the original, but anything close with Rockstar's modern production values would still be a great game.
