Played through normal and hard mode, killed online ur-dragon and true daimon. I don't know why. I strongly dislike this game but something kept pulling me back. The combat is repetitive as FUCK and magic becomes almost useless in the late game. Pawn AI is absolute shit and all the npc's are bland and uninteresting. The story is barely there.
But there's just so much potential in it. It could have been amazing, but it fell horribly short. Like making a really complicated dish that you ruin somehow but you still end up eating it.

I tried but my god damn pawns somehow manage to get attacket by them, and then they die, and then I go back to save them and then I die. I figured it's just a difficult game since I managed to kill them a few times, but I'll try again.
Anyone else find that the levels kind of brought the game down a bit? Stop playing because it's hard to appreciate the combat when it's done in the most boring and generic maps.

If you disable softlock then it's honestly on par or better than DD. Yeah DD has more variety but Witcher has dodging, parrying, and group management done better. Even with the less customization there's more movesets/options in TW3 in a single character. You have more possible characters in DD but you're stuck with like 3 combat moves against a damage sponge enemy all the time, with no dodging or parrying mechanics

Stuff such as pawn growth wasn't intended to be apparent to the player. Pawn growth is supposed to appear organic. It's normal to check the wiki because there are so many min-maxers. This is apparent if you realized that the wikis contain datamined/researched information.
