Why is Dark Souls such a bad PC port? Is there any mod that fixes it?

I swear dark souls is crazy hard. My first game was blood borne, which was hard as well.. But dark souls is a lot harder.
So currently I am at that blacksmith. So there is that boss who throws lighning and shit at you, which just takes minimal damage wtf.
Then there are thouse gargoyles or whatever over that church, no chance either.
Then there is that stone golem wood... What disgusting monsters but they can be tricked to reach that butterfly thing. Where the hell should i go first?

You should be able to do atleast a few upgrades with the "grey stones" if you click "reinforce weapons" or" reinforce armor". If you don't have enough, you can buy them directly from that blacksmith
