ITT post your very, very first video game ever if you remember.
>Played this when 3 years old
>English was at a grade 2 level by the time I went into prep
>>332165225
Can't say, some fucking dump truck simulator that had the most primitive steering wheel controls I remember. It takes the movement from the wheel and transfers it to the proper movement key on the keyboard. "clip on"
i dont remember what it was called
all i remember is that it was a math game and the bad guys were rat pirates called pi rats
anyone know what im talking about?
>>332165225
either this or Tetris
I'm going with this, since it was built into the master system and I don't remember what other games we used to have for it
>>332166620
my nigger
we also had some wonky asterix and obelix game that i can barely remember
I remember playing this with my dad when I was like 4 or 5
>>332166697
I really don't remember most my master system games unfortunately. I'm not sure if the master system games were terribly unmemorable or I was just too young. Alex Kidd was built into the system, and I just googled one I could sorta recall which turned out to be Streets of Rage, but that's about it
My earliest videogame memory was watching my Mom play Super Mario Bros on the NES, so it was probably that
that was something
and i still love it
>>332167436
This.
Good memories. Only game my dad ever played
>>332165225
First game I remember was mario bros/duck hunt on NES.
With such a great title as my first how could I become anything but a /v/irgin?
Commander Keen when I was like four
Still play it every now and then, probably beaten it more times than any other game
>>332165225
It wasn't that bad, and I have fond memories of it, although it took me a very long time to beat it.
Also, an Independance Day floppy disk flashgame I had with a toy, where you played as the Commander. Shit was pretty dope.
Anyone remember this game?
Flight Simulator on DOS. Ran at like 6fps and took forever to load off giant cardboard floppies. There was also a combat version.

>>332167638
this
also croc
Duck hunt and that other mode where you shoot plates
god I was shit at that
I did play a lot of DOS games later on, but back when I was 4-5 years old computers were really expensive and we had cheap knockoff famicoms everywhere with bootleg games and those "1000000 in 1" cartridges.
Altered Beast on Sega Mega Drive, never got past the first stage.
So many hours spent and I never knew you could save in this game until much later
>>332165225
>Link to the Past
this was around 1995 or 96 i remember playing this and watching lion king on vhs. Good on you op was English your first language?
When I was around 2 or 3 I would play Doom 2 with my dad, he'd run and I'd shoot. He doesn't play many videogames anymore besides really obscure grand strategy games.
Prehistoric 2 was great. I remember being shocked by how amazing was the graphics
>>332169365
>obscure grand strategy games
sounds like a guy i would chill with
>>332166620
this but besides that my first was pic related
I'm not 100% sure, but most likely this one
>>332165225
It was Reader Rabbit I think. But I never ever see /v/ acknowledge the games existed.
simtunes nigga
>>332165225
Here you go, OP. Alley Cat. Next were Defender of the Crown, Zeliard, some Space Invaders version, and I think Gods, followed by Prince of Persia.
>>332167685
Sure. At least, the shareware version. Never found the full version back then.
>>332169641
Mah nigga. First next to Space Quest, Police Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry.
Some russian bootleg of this.
Best childhood ever
I have a very clear memory of my introduction to the SNES (lttp) Genesis (sonic 2), Saturn (clockwork knight) PS1 (jet moto), and Gameboy (tetris). But cannot for the life of my remember if I played an Atari 2600 or an NES first.
I remember a Superman game that looked like shit, but not nearly this shitty
http://youtu.be/r7U2TFIayos
My first game, still playable.
>>332169449
I still remember the location of every enemy and every secret in Prehistoric 1 and 2 even 20+ years later, and I can't even recall the names of half of the games I played last year.
i was four years old at my neighbour's house.
it was the beginning of the end of my life.
It was prettyshitty.
>>332165225
That one. The thing is... I didn't even know there were dimonds there because there wasn't any in that version. Maybe it was some kind of clone? I don't know. So I digged almost whole level to win. That was hilarious.
I used to have this box, which had a whole bunch of Atari games built into it, and I barely remember playing a hockey game on that. Anyone know what it might have been?
>>332165225
Choplifter on an Apple II. Used to play it for ages.
It's the first game I remember playing, but I have no idea if it was actually my first.
>Super Mario Bros 3 when I was 4
I'm only 18 but still grew up on retro games which is nice
Tossup between Guardian Legend and Marble Madness.
Here's something for you guys who've played GL.
JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ
Probably DOS super mario on grandpa's win 95 computer.
>>332169262
My man. This game right here.
>>332167436
this for me too.
>>332165225
As far back as I can remember, it was this Smurfs game on Game Boy. Only ever made it to level 2 which had your avoiding logs.
I feel old as shit.
>>332166573
>Link's Awakening
Mah nigga, that was my first game too
Toy Story on the Gameboy
>Got a SNES for Christmas
>For some reason my parents bought me a Super Gameboy Adapter and a bunch of Gameboy games even though I didn't own a Gameboy
I am 95% sure its because my mom was obsessed with Tetris, and the SNES version was harder to find.
>>332167685
>the hunt for red rock rover
noice
>>332165225
does anyone know the name of a game where you controll a family of lizzard loli people, you can make them cook, breed and die
