If you move to the side, you automatically home in on your opponent. This makes precise movement almost impossible. Not to mention you are pretty much forced to use the DPad because the sticks on the Pro Controller and Gamepad are garbage.
Jumping is slow as shit and unless you have an airdash or a good homing attack, it won't help you close in and instead leave you open for projectiles.
Counter Attack Cancelling is good but because some projectiles simply beat it, it defeats the purpose of the whole mechanic. They talk about the Attack Triangle all the time, yet have a shitload of moves that straight up ignore it.
And since I'm already complaining about things, Supers that are comman grabs are usually not retarded (Zangief) but Mewtwo's and Gengar's are fucking bullshit because it comes out immediately and has good range. How the fuck did anyone think this is okay? You have to predict them and jump before they use them. And in combination with their projectiles it makes it even harder.

I have heard about some attacks breaking through counters despite the triangle. So it's similar to some moves in other fighting games being unblockable, despite being a normal attack? I'd guess they have a fair amount of startup frames or something.
