They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Mouse and keyboard is best for first person or management games, on the whole keyboard is best for anything third person (platformers, action games, that sort of thing).
If I had to pick one as superior over the other I'd choose controller, purely because I prefer to play things like action games and RPGs to online FPS. I use my PC a lot, but it's more for emulation or things like CKII/Endless Legend. RPGs are way more comfy with a controller too.
As a console user, shooters will always be better on KB and mouse like its no contest. Souls games and other ARPGS as well as Rhythm games are better on controller/pad
