Super Meat Boy recommends using a controller on the PC
is that cheating?
I wouldn't take recomendations from someone who thinks a 360 controller is ideal for a 2D platformer.
Cheating would be using kb+m which is objectively the best way to play any game

I always thought that was stupid because using a keyboard is technically better than a controller for plaforming. There is more usability because you use two fingers for direction instead of just your thumb. Makes you faster and able to react better.

Objectively a keyboard would offer more precision but realistically no speedrunners use keyboards, and I think that whether you like SRing or not they can be used as a sign that your peripheral matters a whole lot less than your skill.
