Special Forces Team X seemed like a decent shooter but it was deader than dead. As well as Lead And Gold: Gangs of the west.
Starhawk. It was so amazing playing in intense games when your teammates magically began to coordinate with eachother. And then the god-tier soundtrack would kick in. Good times.

PSU was incredibly different from PSO. Combat was sped up which was nice, but other than that every positive that made up PSO was gutted out. Felt like it shouldn't have even shared the same name it was so different. It was a really good social sim though. Single player still exist. You should play it so you can see the changes first hand.
