While the music was truly on point for ever single boss battle, the thing that made it above and beyond and so memorable was the fact that it was dynamic, and the lyrics would kick in at just right right moment.

Armstrong simply didn't like what America had turned into, he wanted to rebuild America from the ground up and make the number one nation on the planet, but to do that he needed to get rid of all the dead weight which was basically everyone.
He also wanted to create a nation of super soldiers like Snake so no other nation could oppose them in war.
