It's funny, because I think DaS2 has my lowest hours out of DeS / DaS / DaS2
Demons Souls and Bloodborne are the only games in the series so far that have some kind of uniqueness to them.
Demons Souls started it all and Dark Souls just lazily rehashed it together, while doing a poorer job of doing so. Some improvements didn't help when the game had a horrible second half and a blatantly unfinished nature.
Dark souls 2 shit the bed in so many ways its not even funny.
Bloodborne dumped a lot of things from Souls and thus achieved something new and refreshing, something that hadn't been done before.
Dark souls 3 looks a lot like the same, but they have significantly improved on all fronts. Gameplay, music, aesthetics, areas, graphics - they've learned a lot along the way and I'm hyped for it. I hope it ends the series with a bang and not just a whimper like Dark Souls 1 or 2 were.

DaS 3 has 21+ bosses confirmed probably more. Just as many as any other souls game plus minus whatever optional bosses you wanna count. Then DaS3 also has 25-26 or so. t. not braindead person

Just as an example, I played Bloodborne for the first time, did every boss, explored every zone, did all the DLC, and did a few Chalice dungeons, and it only took me 30 hours. Second playthrough, doing the exact same thing, took 20 hours.
DaS2 is the only really long game(especially with DLC), and that's because it focused on quantity over quality.

Every single one of Demon's Souls' bosses felt at least a bit special
Even the shit bosses like Dragon God had something memorable to them
Dark had more bosses but I'd say maybe a third of them were legit good, memorable fights
Dark 2 is just a clusterfuck of 400 garbage bosses and I could count the number of good ones on one hand
I'm glad they're moving back to having less bosses, it makes me think they're actually taking their time making them good instead of just trying to up their numbers
