They're just pretty barebones and don't offer much more than the original versions, meanwhile the arcade ports are usually more accurate than any previous port of the game plus include new options that weren't even in the original.

I have After Burner, OutRun and Gunstar Heroes, they're all excellent. Thinking of also getting Shinobi III and maybe Ecco, thanks for informing me about the sale.

For example the Space Harrier port even has a setting to emulate how tight/loose the joystick was in various arcades and how it would affect your field of movement, which would be impossible to account for even if you emulated the original.

Got Gunstar. Gunstar Super Heroes is one of my favorite GBA games.
