Well I had fun with PoE. Until late game that is when everyone started spamming the top tier confused spell, which makes your party turn against you for a certain period of time, making the use of tacticel formations piontless.I even got all of the party to take the mental fortress perk but every fight some of my charecters would be dazed or dominated or whatever which would eithre A turn my thanks against me or B prevent my wizard or priests from casting there most OP spells while the enemy cast there OP spells. Resulted in a lot of save scumming to get by certain fights. Also by endgame casting speed is whats important because the game just becomes a shitfest of cast all the OP spells the quickest while your tanks keep the enemies
from your dps dealers.
inb4 use the priest buff agaist dazed confused dominate, I was using it, I had two priests in my party one to do that spell the other would set up a healing field.
But the early game was great IMO, I had fun

The combat is a chore. Move into cover, play ballistic rochambeau with the enemy until one side is wiped out. Rinse, repeat a couple hundred times.

i would love all the infinity engine games if the parties were 4 people instead of 6. when you have 6 people it just feels like 2 of them ALWAYS just become forgettable, underpowered, don't fill any required roles or a combination of any of those three things.
especially in games like icewind dale where you need to create ALL of your characters at once and you basically have to take notes to make sure their classes, skills, spells and other shit doesn't overlap
