I played through Yakuza 1 (what a slog of an endgame!) and concluded that the franchise posesses a mix of simplistic mechanics, tons of minigames and optional content all the while building the world that has already been laid at your feet.
It has a lot of charm, but the gameplay itself is so bare bones I keep telling myself it would be nice to play these games as you would watch a soap opera, because that's what they are. I sometimes fantasize about having a nice setup where I can play Yakuza franchise for an hour per day, like I would watch a tv show.
But then I remember I'd probably have better things to do with my time other than going through button mashing to watch more wacky escapades. It's hundreds upon hundreds of hours of padding, charming padding but padding nonetheless.
Do you need a good pc to emulate Yakuza 1 and 2?
