It's the only viable combat build. Melee is only worth for Gangrels. Go with Toreador for guns, Auspex and Celerety makes them the best for it.

Guns have the highest damage output in the game. The newer patches have fucked with it a bit but the Aug used to down Xiao almost as fast as the flamethrower with full points in guns.

It's not that bad when you already know what's down there, but that first centaur who has a visible health meter will definitely be mistaken as the boss of sewers by first time players and then they have to jump into a literal maze where centaurs are just regular enemies. It might as well have been designed to be frustrating.
