I know this is /v/, so this is blasphemy, but consider playing less games. Or at least do less lengthy sessions. You might want to take that advice a lot of games give and do 15 minute breaks every hour.
Pain means you are hurting yourself, just blocking it out instead of stopping what you doing to cause the pain is a bad idea.

I've been at a few smash bros locals and after a few games I get pretty bad eye strain, it's weird because my eyes don't hurt at all, they just tear up the whole match, pisses me off, like I literally have to wipe them mid match.
