can i kite? can i crit? is dodge a stat? whats my movespeed like? is there proc effects?
>>331599935
Do you mean in general, or with those items?
Because drop-on-death mechanic aside, Rapier is way stronger.
>>331599935
depends on the proc effect and hit ratio, assuming both weapons have the same DPS
>>331599935
one shot to the head or 100 punches to the chest in 1 second?
shit thread
>>331600106
In general. I know its a bad representation.
>>331599935
>No numbers given
Well probably attack speed because crits and orb walking.
>>331599935
I can write a flash program that calculates all that
but I won't
>>331599935
GS triple charge always wins ALWAYS
>>331599935
Damage is objectively better, but speed feels nicer
>>331599935
both are cool ;)
Are you taking into account something like stun chance?
>>331600236
good cause literally nobody asked you to you dumb fucking autistic faggot.
>>331600336
Bait
>>331600236
Calculate how many years you have left to live with your fat ass.
>>331599935
It depends on how long you can keep a sustained attack without having disengage or perform long chase.
>>331599935
>Which is better?
The one with the higher DPS.
If you have a steroid or some kind of crit or bash, attack speed is better.
If you just have regular attacks then damage is better
>attack fast for no damage
>deal damage at a decent speed
Anyone picking attack speed is an idiot
>>331600225
Attack speed doesn't help much for orb walking. It mostly only allow you to animation cancel quicker. The time between attacks doesn't change, orb walking is most a technique to help you chase better by reducing the time you stop for attacks, and for avoid creep aggro (if you have attack modifier active skill)
>>331601696
Do you even know how armor works?
>>331599935
depends on base stats.
If it's alch or something who has a Basher then attack speed. If it's like a Bounty Hunter or osmeone with a crit then rapier
I tend to favor attack over speed.
>>331599935
Depends on a lot of factors.
Can I get crits?
Can the enemy dodge?
Is the enemy squishy?
Am I squishy?
Are there on-hit effects?
Are there % chance proc effects?
Will I be able to get a sustained period of attacks?
What's my starting attack damage and attack speed?
If one was always better than the other then a whole lot of vidya would be a whole lot less interesting.
>>331599935
I don't care which is better I just like attack speed because it looks cool
>>331602460
It also heavily depends on the Base Attack Time (BAT), which scales better with attack speed the lower your BAT is
>>331599935
you know what's better than both?Arcane Orb as well.
>>331600080
>crit
>2 dmg crits for 4 dmg
>2000 dmg crits for 40,000 dmg
wow I wonder which is better

>>331603067
You are comparing shit that doesn't have dps value anywhere close to each other.
>>331599935
This is a very situational situation as you can see pointed out by many anons.
>>331601050
That isn't true.
Kunkka and Tusk prefer damage over attack speed.
>>331599935
>He doesn't buy 6 Moon Shards and eats a 7th
Don't mind me, just busy being Kenshiro.
>>331603710
>attack speed cap
Just play alchemist and go maximum ATATATATATATATATATATATATATA with that 1 second bat.
>>331603710
You need a good balance between attack speed and damage, because just going either extremes means mathematically you have less dps than those that have a good balance of both.
Not to mention the enemy rarely ever stand in one place and can either quickly disengage or have back up crowd control teammates.
>>331603710
I respond with six butterflies, also I'm PA, good luck with that 3.7% accuracy
>>331599935
Whatever gives you the highest DPS. Assuming they're the same, then it depends on what enemies you're facing. If all the enemies have 5 health and the damage build does 5 damage on hit, it's better to take attack damage, but if it has 6, you should take attack speed.

>>331605361
congratulations, you got caught in a trap
Two Rapiers, Two Daedulus, One Moon Shard, Blink, and BoTs.
Big damage to kill everyone in one hit.
>>331605636
prove it nerd
>>331599935
Depends on game
>Hyperstone vs. Rapier
Aside from the drop-on-death mechanic, the rapier is easily way better than the hyperstone
>Attack speed vs. Attack damage
Some MMORPGs have fought this with mechanics like "boss counters your every 4th attack with a stun" or such, or "every 4th attack is reflected x10"
>>331599935
It depends on your strategy. If you plan on winning, go for attack increase, if you plan to lose, go for speed.
This has always been a stupid question because it depends entirely on a multitude of factors.
On-hit effects, procs, how armor functions (flat damage vs. % reduction), how attack speed scales, and instant attacks/swing resets all affect this question.
>>331605148
How does rod of atos accuracy even work
Like what does "grants 40% accuracy" even mean?
40% of the time you were gonna miss you'll actually hit?
35% evasion from butterfly is negated?
You're guaranteed to hit the hero 40% of the time at the least?
Attack speed in basically 90% of cases.
>>331605756
Why the moon shard if you kill everyone in one hit?
>>331605756
>no eul's
>no aether lens
that character isn't too good as a core- he has the best disables in the game though
>>331607442
It's a 40% to ignore evasion.
Apparently "accuracy" is a status effect.
>>331609160
Because you can.
