SFV is the eSports vehicle, they don't want to give the impression that SF is hard to play, they want LoL players to watch SFV and think "Hey, I could do that!" and buy the game.

Well KoF14 is guaranteed to have a spot for at least one year come next evo. Outside of the usual suspects I'm not sure. Guilty Gear will be there for sure, SFV obviously, Smash I'm not even going to comment on. Pokken has a good chance not coming back, but it depends on the numbers for this year. Tekken 7 for sure. Rest I have no idea what'll happen. I was surprised KI was still there, and I wish MvC3 would just die already, which I could say the same for one of the smash titles. So I don't know, wait and see I guess.

Melee is a really weird case, but despite thinking SF4 as a whole is one giant pile of shit; I do find it odd that SF4 isn't at evo anymore already. I expected it to have maybe one more year at least, but I guess they just didn't have a slot open because of something like Pokken so perhaps that's why it's not on the main stage.
All i know is that Tekken 7:FR will be in along with KoF and that is all i care about. One of the smash games can piss off along with Marvel.

Melee is a faster, more technical game with a more devoted competitive fanbase. It just plays a lot differently and it still has a big competitive scene.
Pokken is actually pretty interesting, but I'd rather not see 3 nintendo "fighting" games especially when one of them isn't sold retail and is more than a decade out of date.
Here's a perfect EVO for all sides be it Capcom, Anime or whatever. Ignoring the fact that EVO is basically a "companies can buy in and get your game played" but at least released within the turn of the decade
