Plain sight is far less conspicuous than a guy hiding in the shadows like he knows that he isn't allowed here.
How invisible is Fisher if he's hiding in shadows in the game? Completely, or can he still be spotter if there's an NPC right in front of him or with a flashlight or something?
Because 47 is completely invisible when in a disguise, except to a few supervisors and shit who know the people who's disguise he's wearing (so not Sam Fisher).

It depends on the game. In Chaos Theory if you're in the deepest shadows a guy can be one inch from you and not see you.
In other games I think it's about 3 - 10 feet, depending if they're looking straight at you.
I don't think Sam can infiltrate the white house as well as 47 can
