I'm going to assume you're adking for star fox games other than 64. Unfortunately, my friend 64 is the only real Star Fox game. There is the original which would be good but it's so laggy on the snes. The gamecube games aren't like star fox 64 or star fox 1, they're more like bad zelda games with Fox as the main character.
How many references/jokes from 64 will there be?
In other words, how many times will we hear "do a barrel roll", "this baby can take temperatures up to 9000 degrees" or "cant let you do that starfox"

It's not a sequel, it's the same story. Like how Star Fox 64 is different to Star Fox. Same planets with completely new levels and challenges.
