What's the best emulators for PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games?
a PS2.
>>331368778
1st generation ps3
ePSXe for ps1 and PCSX2 for ps2
>>331368886
>>331368949
PS2 is emulated on neither of those.
>>331369419
alright, 3rd generation ps3
>>331368778
ePSXe for PS1.
PCSX2 for PS2. I dunno if there even exist any other options.

It says I need a BIOS from a ps2 but I don't have a ps2
>>331370274
Just download one moral fag. You can find one on Google in 5 minutes.
>>331370274
download the BIOS
>>331370274
you need BIOS for the PS1 emu as well. You obviously download those.

More than that, you can also just download PS1/PS22 .iso files and play games without owning them. I mean, I own a PS2, but I'm using it to play games that I don't own, especially ones that are expensive/hard to find. Some on my mind include:
>Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves
>Okami
>Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (and the first game as well, they're both a pain in the ass to find)
>God of War
>Ico
>Shadow of the Colossus
and a few others I'm forgetting

No shit sherlock!
What did you think people use emus mainly for?

You are most likely talking to a child.

I was more directing that towards the guy who had questions about a PS2 BIOS but yeah that works too
>>331371818
Yeah nah
Are there any ISO websites that aren't complete shit?
I don't mind throwing a fuck bucks to support them, however every one I've searched for is shit/unreliable

What does stroking your ego have to do with a PS2 bios?
>>331371884
How do you think my system compares? I think the main problem might lie in my processor, but I have a pretty good video card.
Also, I tried tweaking the settings for Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy a bit, and found that upping the VU Cycle Stealing would make the game a bit more jittery but run almost constantly at full speed. Is there a better way than this?

Emuparadise.

I don't recommend any PS1 emulator which 'upscales' the graphics. The GPU used integer-based math which, long story short, ruins the geometry with that horrible shimmering/distortion effect you see in the emulators.
PS1 and PS2 with a tube TV are still the best ways to enjoy these games. You can play isos quite easily.
If you need an emulator use Mednafen, it is the most accurate.
For PS2, PCSX2 is the only option.

How do those compare to ePSXe? I haven't gotten into PS1 emulation yet and I'm unsure of which one to use
