It's one of the only well known games that is designed around making sure people aren't having fun. Not even shitposting, OP, they will go out of their way to nerf/fix anything that makes you spend less time in game.
I really like it, it's the most fair F2P game I ever seen.
I got around 300 hours so far. I did all the quests and got all frames and weapons I wanted, I still have fun with it.
Post sexy frames.

Solid gameplay and one of the most fair F2P models I've ever seen in a game (everything excluding most cosmetics can be earned for free in a reasonable amount of time and you can get up to 75% off sales on the premium currency), but the grind is all there really is and the game can be pretty easy at times. That said, I've been playing it a shitload recently and I've been having a lot of fun.

Gameplay is really fun and it's pretty interesting unlocking some of the cooler weapons, and some frames are a lot of fun.

Playing solo is fine for most missions, but some, like high level endless missions or sorties, can be pretty hard without others. If you ever need people to help you out there's a recruiting chat in game where you can say what you want to do and invite people. That or you could join a clan like /wfg/'s Warbros or some other big clan, which has other bonuses besides giving you more people to play with.

Soloing is completely viable as long as you pick something like Excalibur as your first frame. If not then you can farm up Rhino on the second planet who's a really good solo frame especially at lower levels. Eventually you'll also want to farm up a defense focused frame like Frost for when you're forced to play defense missions. Whether or not soloing is fun is up to your own opinion.

The level number on a mission determines how strong the enemies are going to be. Gear stops leveling up at level 30, but you can fight level 100 enemies and mission will say so before you start it.

Maybe. But the game doesn't tell you that. It just shows numbers next to a mission, so it's natural to assume it's the required/recommended level for it.
The game doesn't really explain anything to you. Just dumps you into the middle of the mess of various mechanics and content it has been building over the years.

Got about 1/3 of all the shit you can get to max rank and got to mr15 (max is 21), realized it's all utterly pointless and quit.

You have to grind for stuff to make the weapons/frame you want. Ok, fine.

The game is garbage. The most fun you can have with the game is right at the start when it's filled with promise, and before it breaks your spirit when it pulls the carpet from beneath you.
It's korean-mmo-tier grind. And you aren't even grinding for any endgame content, because there IS no endgame content. You are grinding to grind other things that will help you grind for the thing that you want to grind with. At no point was coptering a requirement and in fact most game modes make it obsolete. But even if you don't like limiting it to 3 weapons the fact is it's now gone. You just can't go fast anymore. Sure there are some cool new moves that are welcome but they should have expanded on the old way rather then replace it. It's not a smart move to fuck with what people love but I guess it payed off for them and since it wasn't really possible on consoles no one who plays it there can miss the old system. Maybe if you rebound the controls it could work but then shooting would be awkward. Then again shooting has always been a bit awkward in this game and sort of conflicted with the movement gameplay.

That said, it becomes VERY dull after a long time. I joke to my friends that 80% of the game is fucking Draco (Ceres map) because that's where you'll spend all your time leveling your warframe and your weapons. The other 20% is you grinding for mods for your warframe and weapons.
It's the absolute prime example of a 'Skinner Box' game. The only enjoyment you can have from the game is by messing around with various warframes' kits. Imagine a MOBA, if you want to spice it up, you choose different champions, so same concept.
For new players, it's a great experience. Just don't be surprised when you get bored out of your mind grinding when that time comes

I find the game enjoyable, but my thing is that I find a frame or weapon that I REALLY like and tend to use only that. Last time I played it was Mesa.
Once you have nothing to grind FOR, the game becomes shallow and empty.

It's pretty fun. You have to spend some money (to unlock slots) but that's about it. Just find an old subway giftcard and use that (for some reason they accept Subway giftcards for payment) after you get a 75% off coupon. If you spend $10 you'll have all the platinum you will ever need.
There's grind but it's not that bad. Personally I like the fact that there are timers on building stuff. Makes it easy to just stop playing for awhile since I have ajob

You can do any spy mission that exists with a Loki and raise no alarms, build him for duration to get like 50 seconds on cloak, then use your decoy to teleport through laser barriers. Requires some knowledge of the different spy vaults but you'll learn the layouts through playing them.
Xiphos actually has a pretty decent turret that does good damage, and when the damage falls off it will still paint targets for you.

I've probably spent about $40 on this game over a period of two years, I bought some plat when I got a 75% coupon, and I got one of the Steam packs in a sale. That probably only accounts for about 20% of the plat I've earned though, I'm rolling in it.
I've played this game for over 2000 hours, I payed $70 for Fallout 4 and played it for 60, then decided I hated it.
It's a good investment, especially when compared to a lot of the shit games I've bought lately.

This. Coptering was a "glitch" that lasted for years. But the moment a good grinding spot, Viver, showed up they COMPLETELY CHANGE THE ENTIRE LEVEL. Also the current UI is shit, and made for consoleshitters.
