translating recepies it's pretty difficult, but you can follow the pictures.
Basically, slice the tomatoes and the aubergines, add salt, oil and garlic and cook them, make layers of alternate tomatoes and aubergines and put parmesan between every layer.
finally, put the whole thing in a pre ventilated oven at 180° for 30/35 min.
this recepi uses tomato sauce, you can also have normally sliced tomatoes

-400g pasta
-1 can of peeled tomatoes
-1 piece of garlic
-2 spoonfulls of extra /v/irgin olive oil
-2 ausbergines
-200g of Mozzarella
-4 leafs of basil
-Salt and pepper
-Frying oil
-grated cheese
Fry the whole garlic and add the cleaned tomatoes cut into pieces and a few leaves of basil. Season that shit with salt and pepper and cook over low heat. When the tomato is withered, remove from heat, pass it through a sieve and set aside the so obtained sauce.
Wash the aubergines, remove the stems but leave the skin on, that's the best part.
Cut em either in slices or cubes, it's a matter a personal preference. Then fry these motherfuckers in plentiful oil and place them on food oil absorbing paper towels. Cook the past until it's al dente, then throw it in the pan together with the condiment. At this point add the mozzarella in small cubes, keep the flame low for a minute or so, them mix it as the mozzarella begins to melt.
Add some cheese once it's ready.
Serve and stuff your face./v/ - Sicilian food
