The level's beatable in a straightforward manner, there's no dicks or swastikas or anything like that made of coins or blocks, it doesn't use any glitches or backdoors, I can't figure out what the problem is.

There's no way that's the case, you just jump on and guide it to the right at the beginning.
There's also no real way for me to put in a checkpoint, you need the Mole/Thwomp contraption from beginning to end.
