The Wii U version has (or will have with the new DLC pack) every character, every weapon, the original story mode and the first 4 Adventure maps, its exclusive is the Boss Mode (which is also a dlc).
The 3DS version doesn't have the boss mode, but has the expanded story mode, the new Adventure maps, and the new WW themed stages. Besides the Boss mode, the dlc from the Wii U version is already included but must be unlocked in-game. The Adventure maps have been rebalanced so different stages unlock different things compared to the Wii U version.
Nope, the DLC for the U version is just gutted down to the characters, and I'm not buying HWL for the extra content because it's gonna be ass. I'll wait for HWL: Ultimate Edition for NXT.

They obviously chose him to reuse assets. I mean his voice is just HW Links voice higher pitched, special move is just another spin attack, his appearance doesn't change at all.
There is no reason to Young Link to dualwield the Kokiri Sword. I was expecting to unlock the MM swords for him with the Great Fairy Sword being the highest upgrade but turns out they just recycled Link through the Deity form.
