I just can't take Ocelot's voice in Twin Snakes seriously, it sounds so bad compared to how threatening he sounded in MGS.
Bad voice acting albeit with the same cast, over the top Matrix-style cutscenes... That remake was really too much shit.

The cutscenes were a 1:1 replica until Kojima asked to put in the Matrix scenes so it'd be it's own game. He felt fans would feel cheated they bought the same game again.

Kojima gave direction of the cutscenes to a completely different director and told him to do his own thing with them.
For the record I like Twin Snakes, but it definitely wasn't Kojima's doing.
If you think MGS1 is the best game in the series, you probably dislike Twin Snakes.
If you like Sons of Liberty or Snake Eater best, you probably prefer Twin Snakes to MGS1.
The tone of Twin Snakes is much more in-keeping with the intense, campy action of the sequels, whereas the original MGS was (relatively) more subtle than anything that came after.

Your both wrong, Kojima hired a director who was know for the crazy style you see in Twin Snakes, however said director kept all the scenes 1:1 for the original out of respect for Kojima, when he presented it to Kojima, he rejected them and said to redo the cutscenes like he would do them.

I can't deny it, I hated mgs 1. Maybe because I was a pc gamer and spoiled with quake 3 and half-life graphics. But then I got a gamecube and I was able to complete mgs TTT. It was a fun game.
